Picture: Roughly 75 people attended the Committee's field hearing in Yakima, Washington. Seven Members of the Committee including Chairman Goodlatte, Rep. Jerry Moran, Ranking Minority Member Collin Peterson, Rep. Dennis Cardoza, Rep. Jim Costa, Rep. John Salazar, and Rep. Rick Larsen attended the hearing. Other non-Committee Members included: Reps. Doc Hastings, Greg Walden, and Cathy McMorris.

Livestock, Dairy, and Poultry Subcommittee Hearing on the Dairy Industry

Picture: Ten Members of the Committee attended the field hearing in Greeley, Colorado and heard from two panels of witnesses. Roughly 100 local producers, agribusiness leaders and agriculture officials attended the hearing.
Livestock, Dairy, and Poultry Subcommittee Chairman David Scott of Georgia calls to order the first of three hearings to examine economic conditions in the dairy industry. Low fluid milk prices have caused severe economic problems for many producers in the industry over the last year.
